KIERAN LEONARD & THE HORSES
http://www.myspace.com/kieranleonardmusic

Kieran Leonard released his debut EP ‘Scapegoat’ in 2009. With a strive to be innovative, and desire to emphasise the value of the physical ownership of music, he decided to sell the 4 songs as digital downloads, and to personally ‘hand-make’ a very limited edition set of ‘build your own boxsets” to coincide with the downloadable tracks.

On the Full Moon of each month (between Oct ’09, and Dec ‘09) a new track would become available to download which could then be put into your personalised, numbered Box-Sets.

Produced by Carl Barât (The Libertines) and mixed by the renowned Chris Sheldon (Radiohead, Foo Fighters), the results are uninhibited, unpredictable, and undeniably opinion demanding.

Over the last 2 years, Kieran's profile has steadily built around the world into an engaging, controversial and ultimately intriguing artist.

Within a rapidly multiplying counter-culture, he is becoming a highly anticipated, underground voice.

'Sounds like Bob Dylan.. Looks like Kurt Cobain' – NME
'A voice like Edith Piaf's' BBC Radio 5 Live
'The heartbreak of Leonard Cohen... With Rage Against The Machine' – Absolute Radio

GAOLER'S DAUGHTER
http://www.myspace.com/gaolersdaughter

Gaoler's Daughter are a band firmly rooted in the capital, built up of 5 musicians who separately helped forge the sound of London over the past 5 years.

Despite the fact that this collective features ex-members of Larrikin Love, Littl'ans, No Picasso and Letters From London, they sound unlike anything else you will have heard before. Their unique sound draws on a wide range of stylistic touchstones, whilst avoiding categorizations and comparisons.

Rowdy, stomping rhythms shift in an instant to beautiful, uplifting melodies, which are set against dark brooding harmonies. John Sterry's sensitive vocals stand in stark contrast to the often disturbing content of his lyrics. Alex Mahood's guitar, washed in reverb, cuts uplifting counter melodies into the driving, yet measured rhythms created by Alfie Ambrose and Ben Hutchinson.

The boy's debut EP 'The Only Way To Travel' was released at the end of November 09', followed by an exclusive launch party at London’s Pure Groove, several sold out shows in and around London and support dates around the UK on a Babyshambles mini tour.

Their already popular second EP 'Alchemy' was released on June 6th. The band continue to work hard on enhancing their handsome live reputation with a mini-tour around the UK and several festival dates.

"These are highly competent musicians, who work superbly together. It is always good to get a chance to see a band live" – www.indiebandsblog.com

HEROES & VILLAINS 30TH APRIL (JOE LE GROOVE Recorded Live @ Click April 2010)

In association with The Hoxton Pony & Leftroom Records

East London’s best kept Thursday night secret is upping its ranks and releasing the Heroes & Villains party with its musical prowess to warehouse nirvana, introducing two of the world’s best independent record labels for a night of captivating underground partying.

Having played host at the Hoxton Pony where promoters Sandeman & Mr Dickie have consistently provided a sundry soundtrack of all things house and techno with an always alluring line up (past guests have included Jamie Jones, Lee Curtiss, Simon Baker, Ryan Crosson, Mark Henning, Minimono, Hector and more) to East London’s party animals and music boffins, the party’s ever growing fan base and reputation now demands the Heroes & Villains to leave their school night slot behind, moving from bar to warehouse for a series of Friday night events.

To be continuously joined by some of the biggest players in the underground scene, Matt Tolfrey’s Leftroom Records reside each month as Hero inviting a different label to showcase their sound as Villain. Producing a fresh take on label wars, Heroes & Villains set out to stage the world’s best independent record labels fabricating a night wrapped in pure underground rhapsody.

Opening the series on Fri 30th April will be Leftroom soldiers; Matt Tolfrey & Inxec, Wagon Repair’s Konrad Black & Dinky, Heroes & Villains residents Sandeman & Mr Dickie and support from London Stalwart Joe Le Groove.

Heroes & Villains has rapidly moulded into a favourite for its noble music policy and pronounced atmosphere which over time has attracted a familiar and compatible crowd favouring to engage in forward thinking music and underground talent. Taking the party onto the next level of London clubbing, where warehouse parties are seeing a boom time, Heroes & Villains are converging the ambience it already possesses and adding a touch more flair through the doors of its new warehouse home.
